Flowers

These are just a couple of pictures of flowers I took where I was messing around with my camera settings and trying to get a feel for how the flowers would look best in what kind of lighting.
I really like that the color of the flower bounces off the reflective surface I had, but I do wish the center of the flower was more in focus. I took this photo inside my room, where the lighting wasn't that great.

These flowers were kind of hard to take when the weather was kind of snowy and overcast, but the purple color really pops against the white and they may be a little too sharp, but I like how they look kind of fuzzy and almost out of a fairy tale book.

Andrew Watson

As I was researching places to travel in Australia, on Google, I ran into the photographer Andrew Watson. I came across one of his photos of the Daintree National Park and loved the landscape he took. It was also a panoramic view, which intrigued me more since I didn't come across a lot of photographers that had a whole section dedicated to panoramic views. He is a photographer for the Cairns and North Queensland area of Australia, which I thought was pretty awesome since those are the areas I was researching about for the trip.
This is one of his panoramic pictures of the Barron Falls in Kuranda Rain forest. If you want to see more pictures of the Great Barrier Reef or anyways around Australia, you should check him out. I loved how he did a slow shutter speed to slow down the raging falls for a more silky water effect.

Light Painting

I really love the types of night photography or light painting as they call it when they can make a whole colorful scene by leaving the shutter open. I wanted to experience the fun of painting with lights, even if it was something simple. I decided to borrow a camera, since mine couldn't have the shutter stay open, and I drew elephants. I loved how they turned out looking from an old to young elephants. So I decided to group two together in order to get the "Light Elephant Herd". I got the elephants by leaving the shutter open for 30 seconds and I don't appear since I was constantly moving to draw the picture.

Marketing Shenanigans

Recently I have been taking lots of pictures of horses and getting them looking really nice as if we were going to market them. These are some of the things that go one behind the scenes of getting the horse ready for the picture as it isn't so easy. There is lots of time spent setting them up and then dancing like a fool to get the horse's attention. Just thought I would point out and give credit to those that work so hard to take great pictures of horses. Photo credits go to Ashley Roseboom.
This is us making sure the horse stands in the position we want him to for the picture.
This is us after the horse doesn't get the idea of not to stand still and decided to move his leg from the position we put him in, thus we have to set him up all over again for the picture until he learns to just stand there.
